About this model

1470 nm is used in laser lipolysis, non-surgical blepharoplasty, vascular coagulation and deep tissue biostimulation. The OVIO polarising filter is calibrated specifically to 1470 nm and protects at optical density OD6, to EN 207:2017.

The wide 60° field of view helps with precision in hard-to-reach areas, and variable transparency reduces eye strain during procedures. The frame is comfortable, with adjustable temples, for long wear.

Which lasers is the OVIO Diode 1470 nm for?

For diode lasers that emit at 1470 nm — on the product sheet: laser lipolysis, non-surgical blepharoplasty, vascular coagulation and deep tissue biostimulation. Check the wavelength on your device's label or in its manual before you use the glasses: a filter protects only within the range it is specified for.

What protection does it give?

Optical density OD6 at 1470 nm: the filter lets through one millionth (0.0001%) of the laser radiation at that wavelength. The glasses are certified to EN 207:2017, according to the OVIO product sheet, and have a 60° field of view.

Can I wear it over prescription glasses?

This model is not specified for wearing over prescription glasses. The OVIO Q-Switched 532/1064 nm and OVIO CO₂ 10600 nm models are; in any other case, ask us before you order.

What should the patient wear during the treatment?

Separate protection: the OVIO ceramic eye shields are a physical barrier rated for 190–3000 nm, which includes 1470 nm. They come in sizes S, M and L, at €91 excluding VAT.
