Cookie policy
What the site saves in your browser, why, for how long and how to change your choice at any time.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
In short: the site currently uses only strictly necessary items, saved in your browser — your cart, your cookie choice, your customer profile and two short-lived session settings. It does not load any analytics or marketing tools. The fonts are hosted on our own server, not loaded from Google Fonts.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser so that it can remember information from one page to the next or between visits. The browser's local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) serve the same purpose: the data stays on your device and is not sent to the server automatically with every page. We treat them in the same way as cookies and, in this policy, we call them all “cookies”.
The rules for them come from the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) — in Romania, Law no. 506/2004 — and from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR): cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work may be used without consent, and all others only after you give your consent.
Categories used
Necessary — always on
Without them, the site could not remember the products in your cart, the customer profile you chose or the delivery address area you entered for the DHL rate as you move from page to page, and it would ask you on every page what you choose about cookies. They stay in your browser and we do not use them to track you. They do not need consent and cannot be switched off in the settings, but you can delete them from your browser at any time.
Analytics — only with your consent
These would be used for statistics on how the site is used: which pages and models are visited, and from what type of device. The site does not currently load any analytics tool. If we add one, for example Google Analytics, we will first update the list on this page with the provider's name, the cookies it sets and how long they last, and the tool will start only after you have given your explicit consent to this category.
Marketing — only with your consent
These would be used to measure advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads on other websites. The site does not currently load any marketing tool. Here too, any tool will first be added to the list below and will start only after your explicit consent.
Full list
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
ovio_cos |
Local storage (localStorage) | Necessary | Keeps the contents of your cart — the products and quantities you chose — from one page to the next and between visits. | Until you empty the cart or clear the site's data from your browser | This site (first-party) |
ovio_consimtamant |
Local storage (localStorage) | Necessary | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner and the version of the consent, so we do not ask you on every page. | 12 months; then we ask for your choice again | This site (first-party) |
ovio_profil |
Local storage (localStorage) | Necessary | Remembers the customer profile you chose in the cart — the profile type, the VAT number and the company name returned by VIES — and the delivery country, postcode and city you entered for the DHL rate, so that VAT and delivery are calculated the same way on every page. | Until you change it or clear the site's data from your browser | This site (first-party) |
ovio_mod |
Session storage (sessionStorage) | Necessary | Remembers whether the cart uses your customer profile. | Until you close the tab | This site (first-party) |
ovio_filtru |
Session storage (sessionStorage) | Necessary | Carries the catalogue filter you chose over to the next page, so the catalogue opens already filtered. | Removed once the next page has applied the filter; at most until you close the tab | This site (first-party) |
| Stripe cookies | Cookies on checkout.stripe.com | Necessary for payment | Set on Stripe's secure payment page to process the payment and prevent fraud. They are not set on our site. | Set by Stripe, under its cookie policy | Stripe (third party) |

First-party and third-party
First-party cookies are set by our site; third-party cookies are set by other companies, through services loaded on the site. On our site, the only items used are the first-party ones in the table; the site does not load any third-party services that set cookies. The fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font provider receives a request from your browser.
Payment takes place on Stripe's secure payment page, at checkout.stripe.com, which is on Stripe's domain, not ours. The cookies there are set by Stripe, only on the payment page, to process the payment and prevent fraud, under the Stripe cookie policy. They are necessary for the payment.
Links to WhatsApp take you to the WhatsApp website or app, where WhatsApp's own rules apply; on our site, they do not set any cookies.
Your consent and how to withdraw it
On your first visit, the cookie banner shows you the categories — necessary, analytics and marketing — and lets you choose. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and until you give your consent, nothing in the analytics or marketing categories runs.
You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it — using the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything processed lawfully before you withdrew it.
How to delete them from your browser
You can delete cookies and the data saved by the site at any time in your browser settings. The names of the menus may differ slightly between versions:
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Delete browsing data › tick “Cookies and other site data”. For a single site: click the icon to the left of the address › Cookies and site data.
- Safari on Mac — Safari › Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data › search for the site and click Remove.
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data › Manage Data or Clear Data.
- Edge — Settings › Privacy, search, and services › Clear browsing data › Choose what to clear. For a single site: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Safari on iPhone and iPad — Settings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data › Edit, and delete the site; or, for everything, Settings › Apps › Safari › Clear History and Website Data. On older versions of iOS, the path starts with Settings › Safari.
You can also block cookies in the same settings. Bear in mind that deleting the site's data also empties your cart and clears your customer profile, and if you block local storage, the cart will not work. On your next visit, the banner will ask for your choice again.
Changes
When we add a new tool, we update this page and the list above before the tool starts, and the date of the last update appears at the top of the page. If the tool needs your consent, we ask for it before it starts.
