Ordering without an account
There is no customer account on the site and you do not need to register. You add products to the cart, choose your customer profile and the delivery country, postcode and city, and enter your delivery and billing details with each order. Your cart and your customer profile (including the delivery country, postcode and city) are kept in your browser, on the device you used; the details are in our cookie policy.
The products and product information
The site offers two types of OVIO products:
- laser safety glasses for the operator — each model has filters calibrated for specific laser wavelengths, with a declared optical density (OD) of OD6, or OD5+ for the CO₂ model, and certification to EN 207:2017. They are supplied with a hard case and a cleaning cloth;
- ceramic eye shields for the patient — protection across the 190–3000 nm range, in sizes S, M and L.
The technical specifications — wavelengths, optical density and certification — are those declared by the manufacturer and are shown on each product page.
Photographs are for illustration. The shade of the filters and frames may look slightly different from what you see on screen, depending on the light and on your device's settings.
Choosing and using the right model
- Safety glasses are chosen according to the wavelength or wavelengths of the laser you work with and the optical density required, as set out in the specifications of your device and its manufacturer's instructions. A filter protects only within the range it is marked for.
- Before each use, check the marking on the glasses and the condition of the filters and frame. Do not use glasses or shields that are scratched, cracked or otherwise damaged.
- Safety glasses do not replace laser safety training, your clinic's protection procedures or the instructions of the laser safety officer, where there is one.
If you are not sure which model suits your device, send us the wavelengths of your laser before you order.
Prices and VAT
Prices are shown in euro (EUR) on each product page, excluding VAT and excluding delivery. The price that applies to your order is the one shown on the product page when you place the order.
VAT depends on the customer profile you choose in the cart:
- private person — 21% VAT;
- company without a VAT number — 21% VAT;
- company registered for VAT in Romania — 21% VAT;
- company with a valid VAT number from another EU member state — 0% VAT, under the reverse charge mechanism. The VAT number must be valid in VIES, the European Commission's VAT register, and we check it there. With reverse charge, the order can only be delivered to an EU member state other than Romania.
Delivery is not included in the product prices. It is calculated by DHL Express for the delivery country, postcode and city you enter in the cart and for your parcel, and VAT is added to it as for your customer profile. Before you pay, the order summary shows the Subtotal (excl. VAT), the DHL delivery line (excl. VAT), the VAT for your profile and the Total — the amount charged to your card. If DHL cannot calculate a rate at that moment, the order cannot be paid online; details are in our delivery policy.
At payment, the amount is recalculated and confirmed by our system from the products and quantities in your order and from the DHL rate for your delivery address, whatever the browser displays. Later changes to the prices on the site do not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Placing an order and forming the contract
- Add the products and quantities you want to the cart.
- Choose your customer profile. If you buy as a company with a VAT number from another EU member state, enter the number so we can check it in VIES.
- Enter the delivery country, postcode and city, so DHL can calculate the delivery cost.
- Enter your delivery and billing details — as a private person or as a company.
- Check the order summary and the total, accept these terms and pay.
The contract is formed when we send you the order confirmation by email, after the payment has been confirmed. The confirmation summarises the order: the products, quantities, amount paid and delivery address.
If, after the order has been placed, a product can no longer be supplied, we tell you as soon as possible and refund the full amount paid for it to the same payment method.
Payment and invoice
Payment is made online, in euro, by card — Visa or Mastercard, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where available — through the payment processor Stripe.
- You enter your card details only on Stripe's secure payment page. ZIEGERT SRL never sees or stores your card details; we only receive confirmation of the payment.
- Card payments may be authenticated with 3-D Secure: your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in its app or with a code.
- The order is confirmed once the payment has been confirmed.
- The card payment covers the products, the DHL delivery and the VAT for your profile — the total shown in the order summary.
The invoice is issued by ZIEGERT SRL using the details in your order — for a private person or for a company. With reverse charge, the invoice shows the VAT number verified in VIES. Please check your billing details before you send the order.
Delivery
We deliver with DHL Express to the 27 member states of the European Union. The delivery cost is calculated by DHL, before you pay, for the delivery country, postcode and city you choose in the cart; it is part of the card payment. The delivery address you enter on the payment page must be in that country and postcode area. The delivery time depends on the DHL service and the destination. Once the parcel has been handed to DHL, you receive the tracking number. How the cost is calculated and what to do if a parcel arrives damaged are explained in our delivery policy.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights — in Romania, Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 34/2014. You can withdraw by email, by phone, on WhatsApp or directly on the site, using the online withdrawal function.
The steps, the model withdrawal form, sending the goods back and the refund are set out in our returns policy. It also explains how returns work when you buy for a company or a clinic.
Legal guarantee of conformity
Products sold to consumers are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity under Government Emergency Ordinance no. 140/2021, which implements Directive (EU) 2019/771. In short:
- we are responsible for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within 2 years of delivery — for example, a product that does not match its description or does not work as it should;
- you are entitled, first of all, to have the product brought into conformity, by repair or replacement, free of charge and within a reasonable time;
- if repair or replacement is not possible, is not carried out in time or the lack of conformity persists, you are entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract and have the amount paid refunded.
The legal guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse, impact, cleaning with unsuitable products or tampering with the product. To report a problem, email office@ovio-vision.com with your order number, a short description and photographs.
The legal guarantee of conformity above applies to consumers. If you bought for a company, the seller's warranty under the Romanian Civil Code applies.
Liability
We are liable for the products we sell within the limits set by law. We are not liable for the consequences of choosing a model that is unsuitable for the wavelength or power of the laser used, of using a product contrary to the manufacturer's instructions or to laser safety rules, or of using a damaged product.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow such a limitation, or the rights you have under consumer protection law.
Intellectual property

Complaints and dispute resolution
If something is not right, please contact us first, at office@ovio-vision.com or on WhatsApp. We will reply and look for a solution with you.
If we cannot reach an agreement, you can contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), including through its alternative dispute resolution procedure (SAL): reclamatiisal.anpc.ro. Information about the procedure is available at anpc.ro/sal. The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was closed on 20 July 2025, under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. You may also bring the matter before the competent courts.
Applicable law
These terms and the contracts concluded on this site are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Your order is governed by the version in force when you placed it.
